July 1980 MINISTOP opens its first store in Okurayama in Yokohama, Japan. May 1985 MINISTOP's network breaks the 100 store mark with 80 franchised Stores and 20 stores directly managed. The Nineties November 1990 First MINISTOP overseas store opens in Seoul, South Korea. March 1998 1,000 MINISTOP stores in full blast operation, 922 franchised stores and 78 stores directly managed. The New Millenium August 2000 Robinsons Retail Group, Mitsubishi Corporation and MINISTOP Co., Ltd. seal Shareholder's Agreement to establish MINISTOP, Philppines December 2000 The first MINISTOP store in the Philippines opens at the MRT Central Station, a busy commercial hub. May 2002 MINISTOP holds its first trade conference in the Philippines. April 2003 The 50 th MINISTOP store opens at Parc Chateau Ortigas Center. January 2004 MINISTOP opens its 100 th store at Centerpoint, Ortigas and celebrates with trade partners through ' Isang Daan to No. 1' conference. May 2004 MINISTOP mascots Minni & Topper joins Makati city officials in a Grand Parade to celebrate the city's 334 th founding anniversary. July 2004 Ministop opens at the La Fayette condominium within the vibrant Eastwood City. January 2005 MINISTOP ties-up with ABS-CBN Foundation Sagip Kapamilya Movement in providing assistance to families affected by calamities. July 2005 MINISTOP holds its 1st Franchising Exhibit at the Galleria Trade Hall, Robinsons Galleria. August 2006 MINISTOP holds its 2nd Franchising Exhibit at the Grand Ballroom, Crowne Plaza, Ortigas Center, Pasig City with a theme “Raising the Bar — Aim High! Go Beyond!” October 2007 MINISTOP holds its 3rd Franchising Exhibit at the Grand Ballroom, Crowne Plaza, Ortigas Center, Pasig City with a theme “Roadmap to Retail Success”.
